Hammond HWC2412U27BK 12U 24-Inch Swing-Out Wall-Mount Rack Cabinet

The HWC2412U27BK is a 12U enclosed swing-out wall-mount rack cabinet for 19-inch equipment, built for IT, AV and telecom installations where floor space is limited but rear service access is still required. It measures 27.81 in x 24.68 in x 26.78 in (706 mm x 627 mm x 680 mm) and ships without a door, so the front panel style can be chosen to suit the application.

Construction is 14-gauge mild steel finished in RAL9005 black sand-textured powder coat. The HWC Series is UL2416 rated to 350 lb (158 kg) and seismic rated to 200 lb (90.72 kg) dynamic load (Ip = 1.5) in accordance with IBC 2018, CBC 2019, NBC 2018, ASCE 7-16 and ASCE 7-10, with UL File # E474597. Standards listed for this part include cULus, PCI, Zone 4 and TAA-compliant; the cabinet meets PCI DSS requirements with a door installed.

The centre section swings out on concealed hinges with a safety pin lock-out for full rear access. Usable mounting height is 21.00 in (533 mm) over 12U, with 24.50 in (622 mm) of usable equipment depth — the maximum depth that still allows the centre section to swing out unimpeded — and 26.21 in (666 mm) of overall internal space. One pair of adjustable tapped 10-32 URR rails is supplied, along with a starter hardware pack of SCREW1032-50 screws.

Knockouts are provided for optional DNMF100AC115 or DNMF100AC230 fans, with three quadruple knockouts top and bottom and two double knockouts on each side for cable entry and ventilation.
