For an unused 1-1/2" conduit opening, the HP150SSN4 provides a sealed stainless steel closure. It fits holes up to a maximum diameter of 2.00 in (51 mm) and its plug is 2.50 in (64 mm) in diameter. It is aimed at electrical contractors, OEM builders and plant maintenance staff working on stainless or Type 4X equipment.
Construction is brushed natural 304 stainless steel with an oil resistant gasket. The plug is designed to seal unused conduit openings and knockout holes against dust, oil and water. The HPN4SS series comes in 8 sizes; the HP150SSN4 is the 1.5" conduit size, one step below the 2" conduit plug. Its drawing lists the plug diameter as 63.50 mm [2.50 in], and its short description reads 1.5" SS HOLE PLUG NEMA 4X.
A 10-24 x 0.55" threaded stud and stainless steel wing nut clamp it to the enclosure wall. On the drawing, a 5.40 mm [.21 in] dimension is noted as varying with wall thickness.
