Sized for .5" conduit openings, the HP50SSN4 is a stainless steel hole plug that seals a surplus knockout or conduit hole with a maximum diameter of 0.88 in (22 mm). Its plug head measures 1.38 in (35 mm) in diameter. Electricians and panel builders use it to restore protection after removing a small conduit run.
The plug is brushed natural 304 stainless steel and carries an oil resistant gasket. It is designed to seal unused conduit openings and knockout holes against dust, oil and water. The HPN4SS series is available in 8 sizes, and the HP50SSN4 shares its 0.88 in (22 mm) maximum hole diameter with the 22mm pushbutton version while offering a larger plug face. The part drawing gives the plug diameter as 34.93 mm [1.38 in].
A 10-24 x 0.55" threaded stud and a stainless steel wing nut hold the plug in place. Its drawing marks one 5.40 mm [.21 in] dimension as varying with wall thickness.
