Hammond EN4SD423610S16R 42x36x10-Inch Quarter-Turn 316 Stainless Enclosure

The EN4SD423610S16R is a 42 in x 36 in x 10 in (1,067 mm x 914 mm x 254 mm) Eclipse Series wallmount enclosure made from 316 stainless steel. It is designed to enclose electrical and electronic equipment and protect it in harsh industrial environments, and the 316 grade makes it the choice in this size when a project specifies 316 rather than 304 stainless.

The body is formed 14 gauge stainless with continuously welded seams ground smooth and a formed lip to exclude flowing liquids and contaminants. The hinged door closes on Type A stainless steel slotted quarter turns, seals against a seamless poured-in place gasket, and rides on hidden hinges with stainless steel hinge pins. Doors are removable and interchangeable, a door alignment guide is provided on 36 in wide enclosures, and swing can be reversed with adapter kit EHLLSAK. The finish is natural brushed stainless.

The drawing lists a 34.31 in x 40.31 in door opening, a 35.97 in x 41.97 in door, and 30.65 in x 40.00 in of clear space on the door. Wall mounting holes are 0.50 in diameter on 34.50 in x 40.50 in centres, and the wall mounting hardware kit is included. Collar studs accept the optional EP4236 inner panel, 40.20 in x 34.20 in (1021 mm x 869 mm), which is required at this width to maintain UL/CSA.

Certification covers UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12, plus compliance with NEMA 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. The EN4SD423610S16R ships in a box at 120 lbs (54.43 kg). Its 304 stainless counterpart is EN4SD423610SSR.
