Hammond EN4SD363612SSR 36x36x12-Inch Quarter-Turn 304 Stainless Enclosure

The EN4SD363612SSR is a 36 in x 36 in x 12 in (914 mm x 914 mm x 305 mm) Eclipse Series wallmount enclosure in 304 stainless steel, closed by a hinged door with Type A stainless steel slotted quarter turns. It suits control panel builders and plant electricians who need a square, corrosion-resistant enclosure for electrical or electronic equipment in harsh industrial settings.

Construction is 14 gauge stainless steel with continuously welded seams ground smooth and a formed lip that keeps flowing liquids and contaminants out. The door seals on a seamless poured-in place gasket, hangs on hidden hinges with stainless steel hinge pins, and can be removed for modifications. A door alignment guide is provided on 36 in wide enclosures, and the door swing can be reversed with adapter kit EHLLSAK.

The current drawing for this part shows a 34.49 in x 34.49 in door opening, a 35.97 in x 35.97 in door, and 34.00 in x 34.00 in of clear space available on the door for mounting devices. Wall mounting holes are 0.50 in diameter on 34.50 in centres, and a hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers is included. The matching optional inner panel is EP3636 at 34.20 in x 34.20 in (869 mm), mounted on the supplied collar studs; at 36 in wide an inner panel is required to maintain UL/CSA.

Ratings are UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12, with compliance to NEMA 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. A mounting foot kit is required to maintain UL/CSA external mounting requirements. The EN4SD363612SSR ships boxed at 105 lbs (47.63 kg); the 316 stainless equivalent is EN4SD363612S16R.
