Hammond EN4SD363612S16R 36x36x12 Type 4X 316 Stainless Wall Enclosure, Latch A

The EN4SD363612S16R is the 36 x 36 x 12 in (914 x 914 x 305 mm) 316 stainless steel enclosure listed in the Eclipse Series ordering table. Designed to enclose electrical and electronic equipment and protect it against harsh, industrial environments, it gives panel builders a large square mounting area with 12 in of depth.

It is formed 14 gauge 316 stainless steel with continuously welded seams ground smooth, a formed lip that excludes flowing liquids and contaminants and a seamless poured-in-place gasket. The door hangs on hidden hinges with stainless steel pins, latches with Type A stainless steel slotted quarter turns and, as a 36 in wide enclosure, has a door alignment guide. Finish is natural, smooth brushed stainless.

Its drawing shows a 34.49 x 34.49 in door opening, 12.70 in inside depth, 12.87 in depth including the door, 34.00 x 34.00 in of clear space on the door, and 0.50 in rear mounting holes on 34.50 x 34.50 in spacing. Sizes wider than 24 in (600 mm) require an inner panel to maintain UL/CSA; the EP3636 (34.20 x 34.20 in) mounts on collar studs provided.

Ratings are UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12, with compliance to NEMA 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP 66. A mounting foot kit is required to maintain UL/CSA external mounting requirements; a hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers is included. Shipping weight is 104 lbs (47.17 kg).
