Hammond EN4SD30308S16 30x30x8 in 316 Stainless Type 4X Square Enclosure

The EN4SD30308S16 is a square 30 in x 30 in x 8 in deep Eclipse Series wallmount enclosure made from 316 stainless steel. It encloses electrical and electronic equipment and protects it against harsh, industrial environments, giving designers a large, shallow footprint for wall-mounted controls where 316 material is called for.

The enclosure is formed from 14 gauge stainless steel with continuously welded seams ground smooth, a formed lip to exclude flowing liquids and contaminants, and a seamless poured-in place gasket. Hidden hinges with stainless steel hinge pins carry the door, which latches with Type A stainless steel slotted quarter turns. The door is removable for modifications, and its swing can be reversed using adapter kit EHLLSAK. The finish is natural stainless steel, smooth brushed.

The drawing shows a 28.49 in x 28.49 in door opening, 24.65 in x 28.00 in (W x H) of clear space available on the door, and an 8.70 in inside depth. Mounting is through Ø 0.50 in wall holes with the included panel mounting nuts and sealing washers.

The unit ships without a panel. At 30 in wide it exceeds 24 in, so the optional EP3030 inner panel (28.20 in x 28.20 in) is required to maintain UL/CSA, together with a mounting foot kit for external mounting. Ratings: UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12; NEMA 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13; IEC 60529 IP 66. Shipping weight is 67 lbs (30.39 kg). The 304 stainless model is EN4SD30308SS.
