Hammond EJ866SS 8x6x6 304 Stainless Type 4X Junction Box with Panel

The EJ866SS is an 8 x 6 x 6 in Eclipse Junior junction box in 304 stainless steel, with the depth to hold larger terminal blocks and devices. The Type 4X design serves as an instrument enclosure, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housing, electrical junction box or terminal wiring enclosure where equipment may be hosed down, be very wet, or where corrosion may be a problem.

Dimensions are 8 in H x 6 in W x 6 in D (203 x 152 x 152 mm). The drawing shows 5.97 in of usable depth, a 5.25 in door opening width and a 6.16 in wide door. A removable 14 gauge galvanized inner panel, 6.75 x 4.88 in (171 x 124 mm) and unpainted, mounts on tapped studs (10-32 thread per the drawing) with the supplied hardware, and 14 gauge welded brackets are provided for mounting the enclosure.

The EJ866SS is UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 rated (UL File E65324, CSA LR21001), complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66, and RoHS and REACH compliant. It has a natural smooth brushed stainless finish and ships boxed at 8 lbs (3.63 kg). For high temperature applications a gasket retainer may be required; refer to the factory.
