Hammond EJ443SS 4x4x3 304 Stainless Quarter-Turn Type 4X Junction Box

The EJ443SS is a compact 4 x 4 x 3 in Eclipse Junior junction box in 304 stainless steel. Electricians and OEM engineers use this Type 4X enclosure as an electrical junction box, terminal wiring enclosure, instrument enclosure or electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housing in locations that may be hosed down, very wet, or prone to corrosion.

Its dimensions are 4 in H x 4 in W x 3 in D (102 x 102 x 76 mm), and the series table lists no inner panel (N/A) for this 4 x 4 in size. On the drawing, the door opening is 3.25 in wide and the door is 4.16 in wide. The box mounts using 14 gauge welded brackets and ships in a box at 2.2 lbs (1.00 kg).

• Body and cover formed from 16 gauge 304 stainless steel, smooth continuously welded seams, no knockouts, cutouts or holes
• Continuously hinged cover with stainless steel hinges and 180° opening
• Quarter turn latches formed from 316 stainless steel, with a slot that requires a tool to open
• Formed lip to exclude flowing liquids and a seamless poured-in place gasket
• Bonding stud on the door, grounding stud on the enclosure, and grounding hardware provided

The EJ443SS carries UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 ratings (UL File E65324, CSA LR21001) and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. It is RoHS and REACH compliant, and is finished in natural stainless steel with a smooth brushed finish. For high temperature applications a gasket retainer may be required; refer to the factory.
