The CSB204 is the 4-wire, 225 A member of the CSB Series Type 1 splitter boxes. With splitter blocks installed at the factory, it suits electricians distributing a 4-wire feed to several branch runs indoors, in an 18 in x 12 in x 5 in (457 mm x 305 mm x 127 mm) enclosure.
According to the series ordering table, this size is rated 225/180 A for copper/aluminum conductors and uses the CSBL225 as its splitter block reference. The CSB Series is designed for indoor distribution of up to 600 A (max) service at 600 V max with 3 or 4 wires, and 75 °C conductor ampacity is permitted. The 3-wire equivalent is the CSB203, and the CSB200 is the same box supplied empty.
The box is formed and spot welded from steel, and both enclosure and cover carry an ANSI 61 gray powder coating. A hinged door with screw closure opens onto an 11.75 in x 17.89 in door opening (12.25 in x 18.25 in door, per the drawing). A padlocking hasp is included, the sides carry a series of knockouts (Ø0.88/Ø1.13 in, Ø1.13/Ø1.38 in and Ø2.50/Ø3.00 in shown on the drawing), and the back has Ø0.25 in mounting holes on 9.00 in x 15.00 in centres.
The CSB204 is CSA Type 1, complies with IEC 60529 IP20, is REACH and RoHS compliant, and ships boxed at 17 lbs (7.71 kg). UPC 623980263786.
