The CS1616EXT6 is a 16 x 16 extender ring that adds 6 in of depth to Type 1 screw cover junction boxes. Electricians use it to gain internal space in an installed CS, CSG, CSKO or CSKOG Series box.
It measures 16 in x 16 in x 6 in (406 mm x 406 mm x 152 mm), and the drawing shows an overall outside size of 16.06 in x 16.06 in. The ring is painted steel in ANSI 61 gray; the series ordering table lists it in the gray painted version only.
To fit it, remove the box cover, fix the extender ring using the cover screws, and attach the cover to the ring with the hardware provided. Keyhole shaped mounting holes make assembly quick.
