Hammond CMCQP2 Universal Support Current Panel, HQ Meter Cabinet

The CMCQP2 is the universal support current panel for the CMC Q series of Type 1 mild steel metering cabinets, the Hydro Quebec version of the line. It gives utility contractors and electricians a dedicated steel panel for the current side of a metering installation when housing metering transformers indoors to Hydro Quebec specifications. The part page lists it as Quebec Meter Panel 2 in steel with a gray finish (short description HQ MTR CABINET CURRENT PANEL).

The series ordering table gives the panel size as 12.76 in (324 mm) high by 13.39 in (340 mm) wide, and the part drawing confirms the same 12.76 in by 13.39 in outline. The drawing also shows Ø2.00 in openings along with smaller Ø0.56 in, Ø0.31 in and Ø0.28 in holes. The CMC Q literature calls for removable inner panels finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating.

Planning quantities is straightforward with the panel selection guide:

• One CMCQP2 is supplied with each CMCQ303010, CMCQ363612 and CMCQ484812 cabinet.
• The CMCQ303010 and CMCQ363612 each have capacity for one current panel.
• The CMCQ484812 has capacity for two, so a second current panel can be added to that cabinet.

The cabinet series is CSA Type 1 and complies with IEC 60529, IP20. The CMCQP2 is REACH and RoHS compliant, ships in a bag at 2 lbs (0.91 kg), and carries UPC 623980344485 and UNSPSC 39121324.
