Hammond CLEP Ladder Rack End Cap Protective Plug, Set of 2

The CLEP is a set of two (2) plastic end caps designed to cover exposed ladder rack ends and protect cables from damage. It is intended for structured cabling contractors, telecom technicians, data center teams and integrators who finish cable runway and ladder rack runs and need a safe, tidy termination at every open tube end.

The caps are molded from low-density polyethylene for durable, long-term protection of ladder rack ends and exposed edges. An internal rib design creates a secure interference fit inside the tube, preventing loosening or fall-out over time. Because the ribs engage the tube wall, the cap installs cleanly without shaving or material deformation, unlike friction-fit or vinyl sleeve alternatives, and provides a firm mechanical grip that resists the vibration and handling common in ladder rack systems.

Installation is a simple push-in operation, so a CLEP pair can be deployed quickly without tools. The caps are compatible with standard ladder rack tube dimensions for broad application, making them a practical finishing item on new installs or a replacement for worn or loose vinyl sleeves that can crack, loosen or degrade over time.

Covering the open tube ends helps protect fiber, copper and coax cables from abrasion at ladder rack termination points, reduces safety risks around exposed rack ends, and leaves a clean, finished appearance that improves overall installation quality.
