Hammond CDF1970VBK1 40U Vented Steel Cabinet Door, Black Textured

The CDF1970VBK1 is a 40U vented front door built exclusively for use with the Hammond C2 Cabinet Series. It suits IT and AV integrators, facilities teams and OEM engineers who need airflow through the front of a populated cabinet while still keeping equipment behind a lockable barrier. This part is the black version; the same door is offered as CDF1970VLG1 in RAL 7035 light gray.

Construction is 16-gauge mild steel finished in textured RAL9005 black powder coat. The powder coat finish complies with the Greenguard guidelines for indoor air quality, and the door is RoHS and REACH compliant, USMCA compliant and TAA-compliant for GSA Schedule purchases. It is manufactured in North America (country of origin: CA).

CDF1970VBK1 is dimensioned for a C2 cabinet with 40 rack units of mounting space and a 70.00 in (1778 mm) frame height. The drawing shows the door itself at 19.33 in (491 mm) wide and 69.75 in (1772 mm) high, with the assembly identified as a C2 vented flush door, 19 x 70. Shipping weight is 38 lbs (17.24 kg).

Installation uses an integrated spring pin at the top and bottom of the door, so the door drops into a C2 Series cabinet without loose hardware for the pivot. Each door ships with the parts needed to finish it out:

• Two hinge pins, 1/4 in x 4-1/2 in long, plus hinges to mount on the cabinet
• One formed black plastic handle
• One quarter-turn lock complete with .531 in high cam (DWS220-9208)

Series accessories include a door adapter kit, a cabinet door replacement lock and a partial height door support.
