Hammond C4SP7742VBK1 44U Vented Side Panel Pair for C4 Cabinets

C4SP7742VBK1 is a pair of vented side panels for the C4 Series modular server rack cabinet system, sized for 44U cabinets with a 42.00 in (1067 mm) frame depth. It is intended for data center, enterprise IT and network infrastructure teams who are building up a C4 cabinet from frames, rails, doors and panels and need side enclosure with thermal induction airflow rather than a solid barrier.

The panels are mild steel and follow the C4 platform construction of 16-gauge doors and panels on a 14-gauge steel cabinet frame with 12-gauge reinforced corner brackets. Each panel in the C4SP7742VBK1 pair measures 76.94 in (1954 mm) high by 38.44 in (976 mm) wide and is painted black sand-textured. The C4 powder coat finish is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant. Shipping weight for the pair is 125 lbs (56.70 kg).

Each panel assembly includes a black plastic handle and four slotted quarter-turn latches for tool-free mounting and removal, and carries a 10-32 x 1/2 bonding stud so the panel can be tied into the cabinet's grounding and bonding provisions. Quarter-turn locks are available, and a side panel locking kit is listed among C4 accessories. Vented side panels support thermal induction for active server and network loads.

Note that side panels are sold in pairs. When assembled by Hammond, a complete C4 cabinet is a UL2416 listed rack with a 3000 lb load rating and is seismic rated to 1200 lb dynamic load (IBC, CBC, NBC, ASCE standards); individual components such as this panel pair are not UL2416 or seismic rated independently and must be assembled as a complete cabinet to meet certification requirements. The part is TAA-compliant and manufactured in North America.
