Hammond C4SP7742SBK1 44U Solid Side Panel Pair for 42 in Cabinets

The C4SP7742SBK1 is a pair of solid side panels for Hammond Manufacturing C4 Series modular server rack cabinets. It is intended for data center, enterprise IT and network infrastructure builds where the cabinet frame needs to be closed in on both sides for a finished, enclosed appearance and controlled airflow path. This part is listed for use with 44U C4 cabinets at 42.00 in (1067 mm) depth, with 48.00 in (1219 mm) also shown in the series ordering table.

Each panel measures 76.94 in (1954 mm) high by 38.44 in (976 mm), is made from mild steel and is painted black textured. The C4 platform uses 16-gauge doors and panels as part of a 14-gauge steel cabinet frame with 12-gauge reinforced corner brackets, and the finish is a powder coat that is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant. A 10-32 x 1/2 bonding stud is provided on the panel, consistent with the grounding and bonding provisions carried through the C4 frame, doors and panels.

Per the drawing, each C4SP7742SBK1 panel assembly includes one solid side panel, one black plastic handle and four slotted quarter-turn latches, so panels mount and release without loose hardware. Four 0.25 x 0.33 in slots are provided along the bottom edge. Quarter-turn locks are available as an option. Panels are sold in pairs; the shipping weight for the pair is 120 lbs (54.43 kg).

C4 cabinets are UL2416 listed at a 3000 lb load rating and seismic rated to 1200 lb dynamic load (IBC, CBC, NBC, ASCE) when assembled by Hammond. Individual components such as these side panels are not UL2416 or seismic rated on their own and must be assembled as a complete cabinet to meet those certification requirements. The part is TAA-compliant and manufactured in North America.
