Hammond C4SP4236SBK1 24U Solid Side Panel Pair, 36-Inch Cabinet Depth

The C4SP4236SBK1 is a pair of solid steel side panels for the C4 Series modular server rack cabinet system, sized for 24U cabinets with a 36.00 in (914 mm) frame depth. It is intended for data center, enterprise IT, network and colocation builds where a C4 open frame is being enclosed to form a complete cabinet, and where closed sides are preferred over vented panels for containment, security or aesthetics.

Panels are made from mild steel with a black textured powder coat finish. The C4 platform uses 16-gauge doors and panels together with a 14-gauge frame and 12-gauge reinforced corner brackets, and finishes are GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant to support indoor air quality and environmental requirements. Each panel carries a bonding stud (10-32 x 1/2) so the side panel can be tied into the cabinet's grounding and bonding provisions.

Each panel in the C4SP4236SBK1 pair measures 32.44 in (824 mm) by 41.94 in (1065 mm) overall and mounts with four slotted quarter-turn latches for tool-free removal when service access is needed. A black plastic handle is fitted for handling the panel during installation and removal. Shipping weight for the pair is 65 lbs (29.48 kg).

Side panels are a component of the modular C4 system: a complete cabinet is built from a frame, mounting rails, doors, top and bottom panels and side panels. Note that individual components are not UL2416 or seismic rated on their own — a cabinet must be assembled as a complete unit by Hammond to meet the 3000 lb UL2416 rating and the 1200 lb seismic dynamic load rating (IBC, CBC, NBC, ASCE). C4SP4236SBK1 is TAA-compliant and manufactured in North America, supporting government procurement requirements.
