Hammond C4SP4242SBK1 24U Solid Side Panel Pair, 42 in Cabinet Depth

C4SP4242SBK1 is a pair of solid side panels for the C4 Series modular server rack cabinet system, intended for data center, enterprise IT and network infrastructure builds where the cabinet sides must be closed off rather than vented. The panels suit a 24U C4 cabinet frame and are listed for use with 42.00 in (1067 mm) and 48.00 in (1219 mm) cabinet depths.

Each panel is fabricated from mild steel and finished in black textured paint, matching the black powder coat finish used across the C4 platform (GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant). Within the C4 construction scheme, doors and panels are 16-gauge steel, working with the 14-gauge frame and 12-gauge reinforced corner brackets that give an assembled C4 cabinet its 3000 lb UL2416 load rating.

Panel dimensions are 41.94 in (1065 mm) by 38.44 in (976 mm). Each panel ships with a black plastic handle and four slotted quarter-turn latches for tool-free removal when equipment, cabling or PDUs behind the rails need to be reached, plus four 0.25 x 0.33 in mounting slots. A 10-32 x 1/2 bonding stud is provided so the panel can be tied into the cabinet's grounding and bonding scheme.

C4SP4242SBK1 is supplied as a pair, so one order covers both sides of a cabinet. Note that individual C4 components, including side panels, are not UL2416 or seismic rated on their own; the cabinet must be assembled as a complete unit by Hammond to meet the 3000 lb UL2416 and 1200 lb seismic dynamic load ratings. The part is TAA-compliant and manufactured in North America, supporting government and regulated procurement. A vented equivalent, C4SP4242VBK1, is available where thermal induction through the cabinet sides is preferred.
