Hammond C2T2431VFBK1 4-Grill Vented Cabinet Top Panel, 4.7-inch Fans

The C2T2431VFBK1 is a vented fan grill top panel for rack cabinets, giving IT, network, telecom and AV installers a way to move air through the top of an enclosure without committing to a factory-wired fan assembly. It ships with four fan grills sized for 4.70 in (119 mm) fans, so the panel can be used for passive venting as supplied or fitted with 4.70 in fans later when heat loads increase.

Construction is 14-gauge steel in mild steel, finished in a RAL9005 black textured powder coat. The powder coat finish is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant, supporting indoor air quality and environmental requirements in occupied spaces. The part is REACH and RoHS compliant, USMCA compliant, TAA-compliant and manufactured in North America, with cULus (cruus) listing noted in the series standards.

Overall panel dimensions are 25.00 in (635 mm) by 23.75 in (603 mm), with a shipping weight of 6 lbs (2.72 kg). The nominal size designation for this panel is 24 x 31, per the C2T2431 fan top family. Unlike the cutout-only versions, C2T2431VFBK1 has fan grills rather than plain openings and does not include cable entry grommets or a thermostat.

Installation uses the included CLPKIT832-6 cabinet mounting hardware: 8-32 U-clip nuts are installed on top of the cabinet frame, the top panel assembly is set in place, and the supplied 8-32 x 1/2 screws are loosely installed and then tightened with a Phillips screwdriver. The panel is designed for use with C2, C2RR, C4, C4RR_A, C4RR_S, C4RR_D, H1, RCK or CLC cabinet series; H1 cabinets require the H1TC Series for mounting.
