BUSBAR4X10 is a tin-plated copper ground bar assembly that serves as a central grounding point for equipment in a bonding system. It suits IT and telecom installers, electricians, AV integrators and facilities teams who need a single, low-impedance point to terminate equipment grounding and bonding conductors. The bar itself measures 4.00 in (102 mm) wide, 10.00 in (254 mm) long and 0.25 in (6 mm) thick, making this the wider of the two 10 in modular busbars in the series.
Construction is electro tin plated copper with 100/300 micro inches of plating. The thin tin coating acts as a shield, inhibiting copper oxidization — oxidization causes poor electrical contact that then gets hot and increases the oxidization rate, while oxides, because of their poor conductivity, also cause arcing at the electrical contacts and erode the copper. The assembly ships with two factory-installed insulators and mounting brackets: the isolators are Polyglas-polyester with fiberglass, and the 12 GA. stainless steel brackets have 0.375 in diameter mounting holes.
