BUSBAR2X10 is a modular ground busbar that serves as a central grounding point for equipment, giving electricians, telecom technicians and data centre teams a single, low-impedance bonding point for racks, cabinets, cable shields and chassis grounds. It ships with factory-installed insulators and mounting brackets plus the stainless steel hardware needed to attach lugs.
The bar itself is electro tin plated copper with 100/300 micro inches of plating. The thin tin coating acts as a shield, inhibiting copper oxidization, which otherwise causes poor electrical contact that gets hot and increases the oxidization rate; oxides also cause arcing at the electrical contacts, eroding the copper. Insulators are glass-reinforced thermoset polyester (Polyglas-polyester with fiberglass) rated 3200 volts, with 180+ seconds of arc resistance and UL 94 V0 flame resistance. Mounting brackets are 12 GA stainless steel, and the assembly is constructed with UL Listed components.
