Hammond AVFK4AC120 4-Fan 232 CFM Low-Decibel Rack Cooling Kit

The AVFK4AC120 is a four-fan active cooling kit for rack-mount installations, intended for IT, audio/visual and facilities users who need to pull heat out of a populated rack or cabinet without adding noticeable fan noise. Each of the four ball bearing type fans measures 4.72 in (120 mm) wide, and together they move a total of 232 CFM at a rated 30 dB, measured at 12 in to 24 in from the source.

The kit ships complete: four fans, two chrome metal grills per fan for a total of eight guards (replacement part number DNFG), one daisy-chain cord assembly, and eight thread-forming 10-32 fasteners per fan. The cord terminates in a NEMA 1-15P plug and has an overall length of 72.00 in (1829 mm), with daisy-chain legs of 20.0 in, 10.0 in and 20.0 in between fan connections. Because of that spacing, fans in this kit should be mounted no more than 12.00 in (305 mm) apart; the DNFC fan cord series offers a longer single connection wire if greater spacing is required.

Individual fan bodies measure 119.00 mm (4.685 in) square by 34.99 mm (1.378 in) deep, with a 104.78 mm (4.125 in) mounting hole pattern; the fan guards are 113.65 mm (4.474 in) across with a 114.40 mm (4.504 in) outer diameter and a 5.00 mm (0.197 in) profile.
