Hammond ADSU3642BK 1U Solid Telescoping Rack Shelf, 36-42 in Depth

The ADSU3642BK is a 1U solid adjustable-depth server rack shelf built for 4-post EIA-compliant racks and cabinets. It is intended for IT, telecom, industrial automation and AV teams who need a dependable platform for heavy rack-mounted and non-rackmount equipment in deep cabinets, with a telescoping depth range of 36.00 in (914 mm) to 42.00 in (1067 mm).

Construction is 14-gauge steel with a black textured powder coat finish that is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant. The shelf tray is solid rather than vented, which maximises the supporting surface for equipment that does not have its own rack ears. The part is manufactured in North America in an ISO 9001 certified facility and is TAA compliant.

Overall dimensions are 1.72 in (44 mm) high by 19.00 in (483 mm) wide, occupying a single rack unit, with a 18.31 in (465 mm) 19-inch mounting dimension and 17.40 in (442 mm) inside width. The series ordering table lists a weight load capacity of 275 lbs (125 kg) for this 36-42 in model, while the ADSU3642BK drawing notes a maximum weight load of 350 lb. Used with the optional ADSB Heavy Duty Support Bar, ADS Series shelves support up to 550 lb (250 kg); without the ADSB, shelves support up to 330 lb (150 kg).

The shelf ships fully assembled to reduce installation time and mounts directly to standard 4-post racks. It can be installed in the standard tray-down orientation or inverted for added flexibility in equipment height, airflow and cable clearance. Mounting hardware is not included.
