The 2CST204843 pairs a 48 inch width with the Extra Deep format in 304 stainless steel. Within the Series 2000 Modular Console System it works as a housing for video screens and deeper equipment, supports panel mount or rack mount installation, and is supported by the Deep Desk only.
Body and doors are formed 14 gauge 304 stainless steel, fitted with stainless steel hardware and left in a natural stainless finish that is smooth and brushed. The continuously welded seams contain no knockouts or holes, and stiffeners are provided where required. The turret has solid sides and top, an open bottom, a front door that opens down and a rear door that opens up.
Dimensions are 20.00 in (508 mm) high and 48.00 in (1219 mm) wide, with 16.62 in (422 mm) at D1 and 23.31 in (592 mm) at D2. The drawing gives a 47.75 in wide door, 45.68 in of clear space available on the door and a 17.55 in door opening.
A sliding rod mechanism allows the front door a 102º opening in its lowered position, and the rear door has a manual 3 position adjustable stop. Slotted quarter turn oil-tight latches (with tamper resistant or locking options), permanently secured oil resistant gaskets and a formed lip seal the enclosure. Internal studs accept accessories, and a bonding screw and grounding stud are included.
