Hammond 266F6 1.89VA 6.3V/3.15V Filament Transformer

The 266F6 is a 1.89 VA filament and low-voltage transformer providing 6.3 V at 0.3 A with its dual secondaries in series (center-tapped) or 3.15 V at 0.6 A in parallel. It is a compact choice for technicians who need a low-current 6.3 V winding from a 117 or 234 VAC line.

The primary accepts 117 or 234 VAC at 50/60 Hz; the 266 Series connection diagrams show the primaries wired in parallel for 117 VAC and in series for 234 VAC. The secondaries can be used as a center tapped secondary (6.3V @ 0.3A), parallel connected (3.15V @ 0.6A) or used individually, and the unit is designed for use with all windings engaged. Every unit is hi-pot tested at 2,000V RMS.

Construction is open style with minimum 6" long leads and a dual bobbin design, so no electrostatic shield is required. Class B insulation (130 °C) is used for extra protection, and the design is UL listed as a Class A (105 °C) design.

At 0.2 lb it is the lightest part listed in the 266 Series table.
