The 266FB24 is a 9.6 VA open-style transformer rated 24 V at 0.4 A in series (center-tapped) or 12 V at 0.8 A in parallel, from a dual 117/234 VAC, 50/60 Hz primary. It is a mid-size option for 24 V or 12 V AC circuits.
The primary accepts 117 or 234 VAC at 50/60 Hz; the 266 Series connection diagrams show the primaries wired in parallel for 117 VAC and in series for 234 VAC. The secondaries can be used as a center tapped secondary (24V @ 0.4A), parallel connected (12V @ 0.8A) or used individually, and the unit is designed for use with all windings engaged. Every unit is hi-pot tested at 2,000V RMS.
Construction is open style with minimum 6" long leads and a dual bobbin design, so no electrostatic shield is required. Class B insulation (130 °C) is used for extra protection, and the design is UL listed as a Class A (105 °C) design.
