Hammond 266G12 6.3VA 12.6V/6.3V Filament Power Transformer

The 266G12 is a 6.3 VA filament and low-voltage transformer rated 12.6 V at 0.5 A in series (center-tapped) or 6.3 V at 1 A in parallel. It is suited to builders who need a 12.6 V center-tapped or 6.3 V filament supply from a 117 or 234 VAC line.

The primary accepts 117 or 234 VAC at 50/60 Hz; the 266 Series connection diagrams show the primaries wired in parallel for 117 VAC and in series for 234 VAC. The secondaries can be used as a center tapped secondary (12.6V @ 0.5A), parallel connected (6.3V @ 1A) or used individually, and the unit is designed for use with all windings engaged. Every unit is hi-pot tested at 2,000V RMS.

Construction is open style with minimum 6" long leads and a dual bobbin design, so no electrostatic shield is required. Class B insulation (130 °C) is used for extra protection, and the design is UL listed as a Class A (105 °C) design.

At the same 12.6 V / 6.3 V output voltages, it raises the series rating from the 0.3 A of the 3.78 VA 266F12 to 0.5 A. The ordering table gives mounting style A, dimensions A 2.81 in (71 mm), B 1.60 in (41 mm), C 1.68 in (43 mm) and D 2.38 in (60 mm), a mounting hole width of 0.19 in (5 mm) and a weight of 0.6 lb (0.27 kg); shipping weight is 0.7 lbs (0.32 kg).

The series is UL listed (# E207860) Type 3AH and CSA certified (209651), and the 266G12 is listed as RoHS and REACH compliant (UPC 623980809519).
