The 182E117 is a 30 VA toroidal power transformer with two 117 V secondaries. Wired in series the secondaries provide 234 V center-tapped at 128 mA; wired in parallel they provide 117 V at 256 mA. With a dual 117/234 VAC, 50/60 Hz primary, the part suits engineers who want a line-level secondary in a low profile toroid.
The manufacturer lists it as REPLACE WITH 1182E117. The 182 Series will soon be discontinued as a stocked series and is sold while quantities last; the 1182 Series replaces it.
Its body measures 2.95 in (75 mm) outside diameter and 1.60 in (41 mm) high, with an open centre. Mounting uses a single 10-24 centre bolt 2.00 in (51 mm) long plus a top steel washer and top and bottom rubber washers; as a unit of 160 VA or less it comes with two rubber insulating pads, a metal centering washer and all hardware. Table weight is 1.12 lbs; shipping weight is 1.12 lbs (0.51 kg).
The 182E117 has minimum 8 in flexible leads and is Hi-Pot tested at 4,000 V RMS between primary and secondary. The series is CSA certified to C22.2 #66 (file 209651), UL recognized to UL506 (file E207860) and CE certified to IEC950. RoHS and REACH compliant.
