The 182E240 is a 50 VA toroidal transformer described by the manufacturer as TOROID, 50VA, 50HZ, 240V SEC. It has a single 240 V secondary rated at 208 mA and a dual 117/234 VAC primary for 50/60 Hz operation, offering a compact 240 V source for control, bias and auxiliary circuits.
The 182 Series specification sheet notes that the line will soon be discontinued as a stocked series, is available while quantities last, and has been replaced with the 1182 Series.
The 182E240 measures 3.63 in (92 mm) in outside diameter and 1.73 in (44 mm) high, with an open centre and no potting. It mounts with one 10-24 centre bolt 2.00 in (51 mm) long, a top steel mounting washer and top and bottom rubber washers. Units of 160 VA and under are supplied with two rubber insulating pads, one metal centering washer and all mounting hardware. The series table gives 1.67 lbs; shipping weight is 1.67 lbs (0.76 kg).
Flexible leads are at least 8 in long. The primary is paralleled for 117 V and series-connected for 234 V. Testing and approvals include a 4,000 V RMS primary-to-secondary Hi-Pot, CSA C22.2 #66 (file 209651), UL506 recognition (file E207860) and CE to IEC950. The part is RoHS and REACH compliant.
