Hammond 1650KP 50W 3.4K Ohm Potted Push-Pull Transformer, 10 Lugs

The 1650KP is a 50 watt "Classic" push-pull, Ultra-Linear potted output transformer for tube amplifiers. It has a 3400 ohm centre-tapped primary rated at 318 mA DC per side and a secondary providing 4, 8 and 16 ohm outputs, and it connects through 10 bottom mounted lugs rather than free leads.

Suggested tube types are 6L6GC, 807, 5881, EL34, 6146B and 6550B. The transformer includes 40% screen taps for Ultra-Linear operation if desired; the drawing lists typical applications as push-pull triode, Ultra-Linear pentode and tetrode connected audio output.

The windings are enclosed in a drawn steel case, completely potted in epoxy and painted in black powder paint to match the manufacturer's potted power transformers and potted chokes. Series table dimensions are A 3.31 in (84 mm), B 3.88 in (99 mm), C 4.25 in (108 mm), D 2.50 in (64 mm), E 3.00 in (76 mm), F 3.31 in (84 mm) and G 2.56 in (65 mm). The drawing also shows 1/4-20 UNC threads (x 4), toleranced per ASME B1.1-2003. The table weight is 9 lbs; the shipping weight is 11 lbs.

Rated response is 30 Hz to 30 kHz at full rated power, +/- 1 dB max. (ref. 1 kHz). Typical 60 Hz drawing data: 72.50 ohms primary DCR (lugs 1-5), 0.290 ohm (6-7) and 0.480 ohm (8-10) secondary DCR, 29.80 H primary inductance with 12.58 kOhm impedance, 10.32 mH leakage inductance, 2000 Vrms dielectric strength and a -40 to 105 C range. The 1650KP is made in Canada and RoHS and REACH compliant.
