Hammond 1599HSTSGY 220 x 110 mm Economy Short-Slope Console, Gray ABS

The 1599HSTSGY is a light gray short-slope sloping console from the 1599T series, a slope-top plastic console for interface and control electronics built by OEM engineers and integrators. This H-size console is 220 mm wide and 110 mm from front to rear, stepping from its 18 mm front height up to a 40 mm rear height.

The box and lid are molded from general purpose ABS (not flame retardant) rated UL94 HB. As an economy version it closes with #4 self-tapping screws driven into the plastic rather than machine screws into brass inserts; the recommended cover screw torque is 42-57 ozf.in (30-40 cN.m). The rear of the enclosure has two flat removable panels for easy modification, and the H size includes PC board standoffs on the inside bottom. Four black rubber feet are included with the enclosure.

The maximum P.C. board size is 96.5 mm long by 212.5 mm wide (board not supplied), and the inside of the box accepts #4 self-tapping screws for mounting it. The top carries a recessed inlay of 204.75 mm [8.06 in] by 97.50 mm [3.84 in], set at a 12.0° slope angle on the drawing.

The 1599HSTSGY is listed with an IP54 rating, is RoHS and REACH compliant, and ships shrink-wrapped with a shipping weight of 0.43 lbs (0.20 kg). For a flame retardant version of the same size, see 1599HTSGY.
