The 1599ESTSGY is a light gray, short-slope ABS console enclosure from the 1599T series, the economy version of the standard 1599ETSGY. It is suited to desktop control panels, keypads and interface units where a sloped front makes controls and displays easier to see and reach.
This economy model is molded from general purpose (not flame retardant) ABS with a UL94 HB flame rating and carries an IP54 rating. Economy models use self-tapping screws, and the drawing lists #4 x 5/8 in self-tapping cover screws (replacement pack 1593MS100). The rear holds one flat removable panel for easy modification, and each enclosure includes 4 black rubber feet (replacement pack of 24: 1421T2).
The console measures 170 mm (6.69 in) wide, 86 mm (3.39 in) front to rear, with a 34 mm (1.34 in) rear height sloping to 17 mm (0.67 in) at the front. The drawing shows a top inlay of 157.00 x 74.35 mm and a 12.6° slope. E-size consoles have PC board standoffs on the inside bottom that accept #4 self-tapping screws, and the maximum PC board is 72 x 162.5 mm (board not supplied).
The 1599ESTSGY assembly includes box, lid, front panel and 4 cover screws, with a recommended torque of 42-57 ozf.in (30-40 cN.m). It ships shrink wrapped and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
