Hammond 1594REBK 168 x 107mm EMI/RFI Shielded Black ABS Enclosure

The 1594REBK is the largest enclosure in the 1594R Thick-Wall Plastic Enclosures w/ EMI/ RFI Shielding series, sized at 168 x 107 mm for larger printed circuit boards and assemblies that need protection from electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference. The drawing identifies it as the black conductive paint shielded version of the 1594E enclosure.

The interior of each enclosure part is specially masked and sprayed with an RFI/EMI copper conductive coating, which the coating manufacturer specifies at more than 75 dB attenuation from 1 MHz to 1 GHz. The body is molded from flame retardant ABS plastic with a UL94 V-0 rating, heavy duty walls averaging .13 in (3.3 mm) and a black matte textured finish.

The part is listed at 6.6 in x 4.2 in x 2.1 in (168 mm x 107 mm x 53 mm); the series table gives 168 x 107 mm with an enclosure depth, less lid, of 53 mm. The drawing shows an assembly footprint of 166.97 mm [6.57 in] by 106.97 mm [4.21 in] and four M3x0.5 - 6H x 5.75 threaded holes in brass inserts.

A countersunk lid fastens with four M3 x 0.5 - 0.71 in (18 mm) long Phillips machine screws into integral brass bushings, suited to applications with repeated assembly and disassembly. The 1594REBK is designed to meet IP54, is RoHS and REACH compliant, and ships shrink wrapped at 0.64 lbs (0.29 kg). Factory modification is available, and solid models are offered in .stp or .x_t.
