Hammond 1594RCBK 104 x 66mm EMI/RFI Shielded Black ABS Enclosure

The 1594RCBK is the C size of the 1594R Thick-Wall Plastic Enclosures w/ EMI/ RFI Shielding series. It provides a 104 x 66 mm rugged enclosure, ideally suited for mounting printed circuit boards, with shielding built in for electronics designers and OEMs dealing with electromagnetic or radio-frequency interference.

The interior of each enclosure part is masked and sprayed with an RFI/EMI copper conductive coating, which its manufacturer specifies at more than 75 dB of attenuation from 1 MHz to 1 GHz. The body is molded from flame retardant ABS plastic rated UL94 V-0, with a heavy duty wall averaging .13 in (3.3 mm) and a black matte textured finish.

Listed dimensions are 4.1 in x 2.6 in x 1.3 in (104 mm x 66 mm x 33 mm); the series table gives 104 x 66 mm with an enclosure depth, less lid, of 33 mm. The drawing shows an overall length of 106.50 mm [4.193 in], a width of 66.00 mm [2.598 in], a narrowest inside dimension of 56.67 mm [2.231 in] and an inner box height of 39.60 mm [1.559 in].

The countersunk lid is held with four M3 x 0.5 - 0.71 in (18 mm) long Phillips machine screws into integral brass bushings, well suited to repetitive assembly and disassembly. The 1594RCBK is designed to meet IP54, is RoHS and REACH compliant, and ships shrink wrapped at 0.25 lbs (0.11 kg). Circuit board holders are available in the 1594Z Series, and solid models are available in STEP or IGES.
