The 1593KGY is the light grey version of the compact 1593K handheld enclosure. It is aimed at engineers packaging a small printed circuit board into an ergonomic, hand-held instrument case with two removable end panels and a recessed top for a membrane display or pad.
Molded from general purpose ABS (UL94 HB) with a satin texture, the 1593KGY is designed to meet IP54. Grey enclosures ship with nickel finish screws, and the assembly contains the top and bottom cover, four end panels (two flat and two contoured to match the case profile) and two cover screws.
Dimensions from the series table are 66 x 67 x 28 mm (2.60 x 2.64 x 1.10 in); the part page gives 2.6 x 2.6 x 1.1 in (66 x 66 x 28 mm). The drawing lists inside length 58.66 mm, inside width 59.39 mm and inside height 22.00 mm, plus a 55.00 mm square top inlay, 1.00 mm deep, for a membrane overlay. The largest recommended PCB is 56.61 x 57.66 mm, fixed with #4 self-tapping screws.
Tighten cover screws to 40 cN-m [57 ozf-in] and internal screws to 20-30 cN-m [29-42 ozf-in]. Compatible accessories include 1593PIR10 infrared panels, 1593PAL10 aluminum panels, the 1593KPCB board and the 1599CLIPGY grey belt clip. The 1593KGY is RoHS and REACH compliant, shrink wrapped and weighs 0.11 lbs (0.05 kg).
