Hammond 1593HAMPITCLR Clear Raspberry Pi Touch Screen Enclosure, ABS

The 1593HAMPITCLR is a translucent clear ABS enclosure for Raspberry Pi boards with a built-in touch screen mount. It is the clear version of the Hammond 1593HAMPIT touch screen enclosure and fits the Pi Model B+, Pi 2 Model B, Pi 3 Model B and Pi 3 Model B+, making it a tidy housing for makers, integrators and engineers building small touch-panel controllers and displays.

The case is molded in general purpose ABS plastic with a satin texture and carries a UL94 HB flame rating. The top and bottom halves snap together, and cover screw posts accept M2.6 x 20mm self-tapping screws. The board sits on optional posts using M2 x 4mm self-tapping screws. Openings give access to the touch screen and its buttons, micro USB power, HDMI, audio, Ethernet, USB, the GPIO headers and the micro SD card, with LED holes for both the Pi 2 and Pi 3.

The part page lists a size of 3.88 in x 2.93 in x 1.22 in (99 mm x 74 mm x 31 mm), matching the 98.54 x 74.49 x 31.00 mm outline on the drawing; the series ordering table gives 3.88 x 2.74 x 1.16 in. Shipping weight is 0.12 lbs (0.05 kg). The installation sheet shows use with the 4DPI-24-HAT touch screen, lined up with a rubber spacer against the HDMI connector and optionally secured with two M2 screws at 15-20 cN-m (21-28 ozf-in).

The purchased assembly includes the top and bottom, 6 screws, 4 self adhesive rubber feet, a rubber spacer and an instruction sheet; the development board and touch screen are not included. The series also features wall mounting tabs. The 1593HAMPITCLR is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships shrink wrapped. Hammond notes this product line will soon be discontinued as a stocked series and is available while quantities last.
