The 1593HAMPITBU is a translucent blue enclosure for the Raspberry Pi Model B. Despite the similar part number, it belongs to the 1593HAMPI camera-mount family, not the touch screen style, and suits makers and educators who want connector access and a camera mount.
Molded in general purpose ABS with a satin texture and a UL94 HB flame rating, the 1593HAMPITBU measures 4.10 in x 2.58 in with an assembled depth of 1.18 in (104 mm x 66 mm x 30 mm). Openings line up with the board's micro USB power supply, HDMI, USB, Ethernet, audio, RCA, GPIO headers and SD card.
The inside top case carries camera mounting posts with a camera lens hole and an alternate camera mounting slot, giving a choice of inside or outside camera placement. The posts accept a #2 x 3/16 self-tapping screw, and an opening is provided for the camera expansion connection. Cameras are not included.
The top and bottom halves snap together. The package contains the top and bottom cover, 4 clear self-adhesive rubber feet and an instruction sheet; the development board is not included. The enclosure is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships shrink wrapped at 0.11 lbs (0.05 kg). The manufacturer notes this product line will soon be discontinued as a stocked series and is available while quantities last.
