The 1591XXSFLGY is the light gray, flanged-lid build of the S-size 1591XX enclosure, molded from flame retardant ABS and supplied with nickel plated machine screws for a finished look on visible installations. It is aimed at electronics designers and OEM engineers.
The box and flanged lid are molded from flame retardant ABS (FRABS) carrying a UL94 V-0 flammability rating, in a light gray textured finish. The lid is secured with M3 x 10 mm (M3-0.5) Phillips machine screws threaded into integral brass inserts, suited to repeated opening and closing. The purchased assembly includes the box, lid, 4 cover screws and installed brass inserts; light gray enclosures come with nickel plated screws. The enclosure is designed to meet IP54, providing protection against access of dust and splashing water.
Outside, the drawing gives 112.52 mm [4.43 in] long, 84.62 mm [3.33 in] wide and 44.00 mm [1.73 in] high, with the flanged lid extending the overall length to 136.24 mm [5.36 in]. Inside there is 105.95 mm [4.17 in] of length, 78.05 mm [3.07 in] of width and 40.00 mm [1.57 in] of height, with a 2.00 mm [.08 in] wall. The largest PCB listed for this part is 77.9 mm x 105.79 mm, and it can be fitted in the box or in the lid; the board is not supplied.
