The 1591XXSBK is a black, flame retardant ABS enclosure in the mid-size S format of the 1591XX series, giving a roughly 106 x 78 mm inside floor for a horizontally mounted circuit board with standoffs molded into both box and lid. It is aimed at electronics designers and OEM engineers.
The box and lid are molded from flame retardant ABS (FRABS) carrying a UL94 V-0 flammability rating, in a black textured finish. The lid is secured with M3 x 10 mm (M3-0.5) Phillips machine screws threaded into integral brass inserts, suited to repeated opening and closing. The purchased assembly includes the box, lid, 4 cover screws and installed brass inserts; black enclosures come with black screws. The enclosure is designed to meet IP54, providing protection against access of dust and splashing water.
