The 1591XXMTBU is the transparent blue version of the compact M-size 1591XX enclosure, letting indicator LEDs and board activity show through the case while keeping machine-screw lid fixing into brass inserts. It is aimed at electronics designers and OEM engineers.
The box and lid are molded from general purpose ABS that is not flame retardant, rated UL94 HB, in a transparent blue textured finish. The lid is secured with M3 x 10 mm (M3-0.5) Phillips machine screws threaded into integral brass inserts, suited to repeated opening and closing. The purchased assembly includes the box, lid, 4 cover screws and installed brass inserts; transparent blue enclosures come with black screws. The enclosure is designed to meet IP54, providing protection against access of dust and splashing water.
Outside, the drawing gives 86.24 mm [3.40 in] long, 57.04 mm [2.25 in] wide and 27.00 mm [1.06 in] high. Inside there is 80.85 mm [3.18 in] of length, 51.65 mm [2.03 in] of width and 23.00 mm [.91 in] of height, with a 2.00 mm [.08 in] wall. The largest PCB listed for this part is 80.7 mm x 51.51 mm, and it can be fitted in the box or in the lid; the board is not supplied.
