The 1591XXATBU is the transparent blue version of the 1591XXA size, a 101 x 51 x 25 mm (nominal) multi-purpose enclosure with integral PC board standoffs. The see-through blue body lets a board be seen inside the case, and the enclosure is intended for mounting printed circuit boards horizontally.
Unlike the black and gray flame retardant versions, transparent blue enclosures are molded from general purpose plastic that is not flame retardant; the part data lists the material as ABS plastic with a UL94 HB flame rating. Internal sides are smooth for easy connector installation, and both the lid and box include PC board standoffs. PC board mounting bosses inside the box and lid are sized for #4 x 1/4" self-tapping screws, which are not included; PC board screws are available as 1593ATS50 or 1593ATS100.
The lid is secured with M3-0.5 x 10 mm Phillips machine screws threaded into brass screw inserts, and transparent blue enclosures come with black screws. The enclosure provides protection against access of dust and splashing water and is designed to meet IP54.
Drawing dimensions for the 1591XXA body are 100.90 x 51.40 x 25.00 mm overall, with a 95.65 x 46.15 x 21.00 mm interior, 2.00 mm wall and a maximum PCB size of 94.00 x 44.50 mm. The 1591XXATBU is RoHS and REACH compliant, ships shrink wrapped and has a shipping weight of 0.11 lbs (0.05 kg). Mounting flanges 1591FABK and 1591FAGY are sold separately.
