The 1591XXAGY is the light gray, flame retardant version of the 1591XXA size in the 1591XX multi-purpose series. It is a compact 101 x 51 x 25 mm (nominal) enclosure designed for mounting a printed circuit board horizontally, and suits OEM engineers and electricians who want a neutral gray finish.
The textured gray box is molded from easy-to-machine flame retardant ABS rated UL94 V-0. Its internal sides are smooth, which makes connector installation straightforward, and integral PC board standoffs are molded into both the lid and the box. PC board mounting bosses inside the box and lid are sized for #4 x 1/4" self-tapping screws, which are not included; PC board screws are available as 1593ATS50 or 1593ATS100.
Gray enclosures in this series ship with nickel plated screws. The lid fastens with M3-0.5 x 10 mm Phillips machine screws threaded into integral brass bushings, a construction intended for repeated assembly and disassembly. The purchased assembly includes box, lid, 4 cover screws and installed brass inserts, with a recommended torque of (43-50) ozf.in / (30-35) cN.m. The enclosure is designed to meet IP54.
Per the drawing, the 1591XXAGY measures 100.90 x 51.40 x 25.00 mm overall with an inside length of 95.65 mm, inside width of 46.15 mm and inside height of 21.00 mm. Maximum PCB size is 94.00 x 44.50 mm. It is RoHS and REACH compliant, ships shrink wrapped at 0.11 lbs (0.05 kg) and can take the separately sold 1591FAGY or 1591FABK mounting flange.
