The 1591XXAFLGY is the light gray flanged-lid version of the 1591XXA enclosure. Its mounting flanges are integrated into the lid, with four molded countersunk holes for easy installation to a wall or shelf and an oval hole in each side of the flange so the unit can be strapped or hung via tie wraps. It is a neat option for facilities teams and integrators mounting a small PCB on a surface.
The box is molded from easy-to-machine flame retardant ABS carrying a UL94 V-0 rating, in a textured light gray finish. Gray enclosures in the series include nickel plated screws: the lid fastens with M3-0.5 x 10 mm Phillips machine screws into integral brass bushings. The purchased assembly includes the box, lid, 4 cover screws and installed brass inserts, and the recommended torque is (43-50) ozf.in / (30-35) cN.m.
Nominal dimensions are 101 x 51 x 25 mm, with an overall length of 124.62 mm including the lid flanges. Flange holes are 5.00 mm thru with a 9.00 mm x 82° countersink. The inside measures 95.65 x 46.15 x 21.00 mm, sides are smooth for connector installation, and integral standoffs in lid and box take a PCB up to 94.00 x 44.50 mm. PC board mounting bosses inside the box and lid are sized for #4 x 1/4" self-tapping screws, which are not included; PC board screws are available as 1593ATS50 or 1593ATS100.
The 1591XXAFLGY is designed to meet IP54 against dust and splashing water, is RoHS and REACH compliant, and has a shipping weight of 0.11 lbs (0.05 kg) in shrink wrap packaging.
