The 1591HSBK is the economy, general purpose ABS version of the 1591H enclosure in black. It shares the 6.52 x 2.79 x 1.14 in (166 x 71 x 29 mm) size of the flame retardant model and suits cost-conscious builds where flame retardancy is not required.
Economy versions are molded from general purpose plastic that is not flame retardant; the part page lists a UL94 HB flame rating. The lid is assembled with #4 self-tapping screws driven into fully plastic posts rather than brass inserts. Black enclosures include black screws. The IP54 rating and lap joint construction still protect against dust and splashing water.
Molded card guides on every side wall accept 1.5 mm (0.062") boards for vertical PCB mounting. The drawing shows an inside length of 159.70 mm [6.287 in], inside width of 64.80 mm [2.551 in] and inside height of 25.00 mm [.984 in], with 20.00 mm [.788 in] guide height.
Each 1591HSBK includes box, lid and 6 cover screws; the recommended screw torque is 42-57 ozf.in (30-40 cN.m). Replacement self-tapping lid screws come in packs of 100 as 1591TS100BK (black). It is RoHS and REACH compliant, ships in shrink wrap at 0.19 lbs (0.09 kg), and pairs with the 1591HC clear lid.
