The 1591FLBK is a compact black flange shared by three enclosure families: 1591L/LS, 1591M/MS and 1591XXL/XXLS. It is intended for electronics builders, OEM engineers and installers who need to surface-mount a small plastic enclosure cleanly. Compatible enclosure sizes are 1591L, 1591LS, 1591M, 1591MS, 1591XXL and 1591XXLS.
It is molded from fire retardant ABS plastic with a UL94 V-0 flammability rating and a satin texture finish. The flange measures 4.34 in (110 mm) long by 2.08 in (53 mm) wide. The part lists an IP54 rating. One flange is included.
The enclosure is glued to the flange with standard ABS cement, which is not included. The flange ends are raised on one side so the enclosure can be positioned easily while it is being glued. Once assembled, the unit is fixed through four molded countersunk holes, or strapped or hung with tie wraps through the oval hole in each side of the flange.
The 1591FLBK is RoHS and REACH compliant, ships shrink wrapped with a shipping weight of 0.03 lbs (0.01 kg) and carries UPC 623980012162. The gray version for the same enclosures is 1591FLGY.
