The 1591ESFLBK is a black general purpose ABS enclosure from the 1591 series with wall mounting flanges molded into the lid. The box measures 7.5 in x 4.35 in x 2.39 in (191 mm x 110 mm x 61 mm) and is intended for wall- or panel-mounted electronics where a flame retardant grade is not needed.
Over its lid flanges the enclosure is 215.40 mm [8.480 in] long, and the flange mounting holes sit 204.00 mm [8.031 in] apart. Interior space is 183.52 mm [7.225 in] x 103.53 mm [4.076 in] x 56.60 mm [2.228 in], and card guides molded into all side walls accept 1.5 mm (0.062 in) PCBs for vertical mounting.
As an economy version it is molded from general purpose plastic that is not flame retardant (UL94 HB on the part page). Lap joint construction resists dust and splashing water, and the design is intended to meet IP54. The lid is assembled with #4 self-tapping screws into fully plastic posts at a recommended 42-57 ozf.in (30-40 cN.m). This black version ships with black screws. The lid also accepts #4 self-tapping screws for mounting a PC board (1593ATS50 / 1593ATS100).
Supplied in shrink wrap with box, lid and 6 cover screws, the 1591ESFLBK has a shipping weight of 0.5 lbs (0.23 kg) and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
