Hammond 1591DF2BK 150x80x50 mm Black Flame-Retardant Box, Bottom Flange

The 1591DF2BK is a black, flame retardant ABS plastic enclosure from the 1591 Series, sized at 150 x 80 x 50 mm (5.91 x 3.15 x 1.97 in) and fitted with an accessory flange attached to the bottom. It suits OEM engineers, electronics designers and installers who need a compact, screw-down case for a circuit board that must be fixed to a wall, panel or chassis.

The box is molded from easy-to-machine FRABS carrying a UL94 V-0 flammability rating. Lap joint construction between box and lid protects against dust and splashing water, and the enclosure is designed to meet IP54. The lid is secured by four M3-0.5 x 10 mm Phillips machine screws threading into pre-installed brass inserts, a setup intended for repeated assembly and disassembly; black enclosures ship with black screws.

Inside, the drawing gives 143.61 x 73.61 x 46.10 mm of usable length, width and height. Card guides molded into all side walls accept 1.5 mm (0.062") boards for vertical mounting, and 1591Z card adaptors let you mount boards horizontally instead. With the bottom flange the overall length on the drawing is 177.00 mm (6.969 in).

The part is RoHS and REACH compliant, ships shrink wrapped at 0.31 lbs (0.14 kg), and can be factory modified by milling, drilling or printing. Recommended cover screw torque is 35.5-42.5 ozf.in (25-30 cN.m). A light gray version, 1591DF2GY, shares the same dimensions.
