The 1591CSGY is a light gray general purpose ABS enclosure in the 1591C size, 4.72 in x 2.56 in x 1.57 in (120 mm x 65 mm x 40 mm). It gives electronics builders an economical gray case with built-in card guides.
Card guides molded into all side walls accept 1.5 mm (0.062”) thick boards so the PCB stands vertically. According to the drawing the interior measures 113.53 mm long, 58.53 mm wide and 35.90 mm high, with guides 30.91 mm high and a 2.08 mm slot width.
Molded from GPABS with a UL94 HB flame rating, it is not a flame retardant version. The lid is assembled with self-tapping screws into fully plastic posts that accept a #4 self-tapping screw, and light gray enclosures include standard nickel finish screws. The purchased assembly includes box, lid and 4 cover screws; recommended torque is 42-57 ozf.in (30-40 cN.m).
Lap joint construction gives IP54 protection. The 1591CSGY is RoHS and REACH compliant, ships at 0.17 lbs (0.08 kg) in shrink wrap and carries UPC 623980137193. Listed accessories include the 1591CC clear lid and 1599CLIPGY grey belt clip.
