Hammond 1590ZGRP253 405 x 400 x 120 mm Square Fiberglass Enclosure

The 1590ZGRP253 is the widest enclosure in the 1590ZGRP series: a near-square 405 x 400 mm gray glass reinforced polyester box with a 120 mm assembled depth. It gives integrators a large, flat mounting area inside a watertight, NEMA 4X and IP66 rated housing.

The part page gives 15.94 x 15.75 x 4.72 in (405 x 400 x 120 mm); the ordering table lists 15.75 in (400 mm) long by 15.94 in (405 mm) wide, with a 95 mm base and a 25 mm lid. The internal shelf takes a PC board up to 388 x 383 mm or the 1590ZGRP253PL galvanized steel inner panel (sold separately).

The two piece tongue and groove lid seals on an EPDM sponge rubber gasket and is secured with four self-captivated stainless steel screws, torqued to 8-9.5 lbf.in (90-110 cN.m). SC570-20 provides extra M6 - 1.0 x 30mm lid screws; SCGM6GRP-20 provides copper ground hardware. Wall-mounting through holes are outside the gasket channel.

The 1590ZGRP253 is rated IP66 and NEMA 1, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, certified to NEMA 4, 4X per UL 508A and C UL and UL listed under file E65324. It is IK09 impact rated, UL94 V-0 flame rated and recommended for -40°C to +120°C operation. RoHS and REACH compliant; shipping weight 12 lbs (5.44 kg).
