Hammond 1590ZGRP244 400 x 250 x 160 mm Deep Fiberglass NEMA 4X Enclosure

The 1590ZGRP244 is the deep-lid version of the 400 x 250 mm size in the 1590ZGRP series. Molded from gray glass reinforced polyester with a heavy duty thick wall, it gives a 160 mm assembled depth for taller electronics while keeping IP66 and NEMA 4X sealing.

Dimensions are 15.75 x 9.84 x 6.3 in (400 x 250 x 160 mm). The ordering table lists a 3.78 in (96 mm) deep base and a 2.56 in (65 mm) deep lid. A PC board up to 382 x 232 mm fits the internal mounting shelf, and the 1590ZGRP243PL steel inner panel is the matching panel (sold separately).

Four self-captivated stainless steel screws secure the two piece tongue and groove lid over an EPDM sponge rubber gasket. Spare cover screws for this size are SC571-12 (M6 - 1.0 x 70mm, 12 pack). Recommended cover screw torque is 8-9.5 lbf.in (90-110 cN.m). Wall-mounting through holes are outside the gasket channel.

The 1590ZGRP244 is rated IP66 and NEMA 1, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, certified to NEMA 4, 4X per UL 508A, C UL and UL listed under file E65324, IK09 impact rated and UL94 V-0 flame rated, with a recommended operating temperature of -40°C to +120°C. It is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships at 10.15 lbs (4.60 kg).
